De Babel a Dubai ]]> Since the mythical tower of Babel was created until the appearance of the first skyscrapers in New York in 1850, the model has been regularly reproduced throughout the world between the 20th and 21st centuries. Towers reflect one of the most significant aspects of today and have become essential references in urban planning. The skyscraper is one of the icons of  modern times. The image of a skyscraper has gone from being an interesting solution to the lack of space, not only in major cities of the west, but all over the world. New and more sophisticated technology opens a field for renovation and the answer to new problems and complex awareness. Height, technology, sustainability, creativity and emblematic features, the compromise of functionality and aesthetic impact are key questions of today.
 
This exhibition aims to explore, through paintings, prints, drawings, models, photographs and films, the diversity of architecture which over the years, has shown how to seek the inaccessible through excessiveness and its wish to overcome all material limits.

It is now considered one of the key sports clubs that includes people with different disabilities from all the Catalan sporting federations. For 25 years now, the members of the Club Atletisme Nou Barris have been organising this classic Barcelona 10-kilometre run, with the support of the Nou Barris district council. The 26th race will be held on 20th May as part of the main festival in Nou Barris and is considered one of the most rigorous on the Catalan capital’s urban running circuit.
The Plaça Major de Nou Barris will be the starting and finishing post.
